If you’re planning a spring wedding in Pittsburgh, I’m sure the scare of rain has crossed your mind a time or two– this May wedding was no different. The forecast was calling for rain for the whole week leading up to the wedding. When I first arrived to this Phipps Conservatory wedding, it was still a little cloudy. I was nervous, but I was thinking of Adriana- the bride- mentioning her late grandmother, and how she wishes she could have been there for her on her big day.
Wouldn’t you know it- as soon as the ceremony started, the sun began to shine! This was obviously a sign that Adriana’s Nana was with us. The wedding itself was stunning, accompanied by a violinist, and their stunning arch the the couple actually made together.
That direct light of their early ceremony really made for some beautiful wedding photos at Phipps Conservatory! If you’re still looking for a venue, Phipps really is stunning & it was so exciting to finally photograph a wedding there.
After their ceremony, we spent some time walking around the grounds, snapping family photos, and getting some amazing images of just the two of them before we headed off to their reception space!
We headed over to Veltre’s Wedding & Event Center, which I also cannot say enough great things about! Between the actual space itself, and Adriana & Joe’s attention to detail, the aesthetics were everything!!! We started with some photos outside of the venue before I headed inside to capture the details of their evening.
From their first dances to a traditional wedding dance with the entire family, the night was full of good food, great cake, dancing, laughter, and great times.
We ended the night with stunning golden hour photos with the hills of the city behind them, before I headed off on my way. I’ll never get over how stunning every moment of this day was– here’s to the Palmquists!
I’d love to capture your big day, whether its a Phipps Conservatory wedding, or you’re getting hitched somewhere else– head over to my contact form, let’s see if we’d be a good fit!
